VAJRAKILAYA
DRUBCHEN
Choying Dzong, Crestone, CO
September 13 - 22, 2007
Drubchen means
"great accumulation." The positive energy gathered from holding
the mantra of the deity continuously, 24 hours-a-day, for nine
days as a group, as well as the creation of mindrub (sacred medicine),
is one of the most efficacious and profound means for purifying
negative karma and amassing merit and wisdom.
It is said in the tantras that the merit of accomplishing a drubchen
continues into the future for months, years, and even lifetimes,
dispelling obstacles and purifying even the heaviest karmic defilements.
In addition, these benefits are not limited to the participants
of the drubchen, but spread a positive influence over the entire
physical locale as well as to the inhabitants of the region, the
country, and the whole world, becoming the causes for harmony,
prosperity, joy and ultimately, liberation for all beings.
Vajrakilaya (the wrathful emanation of Vajrasattva) is known as
the Swift Destroyer who dispels obstacles to the flourishing of
dharma and the development of authentic realization in practitioners.
The particular text of Vajrakilaya being used for this drubchen
is a terma (revealed treasure) of Pema Lingpa.
REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION
Everyone, beginner as well as experienced practitioner, is welcome
to participate in the Vajrakilaya Drubchen. While it is best to
attend the entire 9-days of the drubchen, part-time registration

SPONSOR THE DRUBCHEN
Being a patron of a drubchen creates an auspicious link with the
practice and the lama to accrue great merit. Traditionally, in
Bhutan and Tibet, individuals, families and even entire villages
contributed to sacred rituals both as practitioners and through
donations. Even if one is unable to attend the drubchen, the auspicious
interdependence is created.
