Alert: Date Change**

Due to the cremation ceremonies for Thuksey Rinpoche in Bhutan, Lopon Phurba Dorji has changed the Vajra Guru Dondrub dates to August 1st through August 5th. We will adjust our dates in Crestone as well, and for those of you planning to do mantras at home, please note these new dates.

In addition, in order to encourage as much attendance as possible to the scheduled sangha meeting, the pot-luck dinner and sangha meeting will now be held on Saturday, July 31st.
We once again would like to remind everyone that Lopon is sponsoring the Bhutan Dondrub himself, along with whatever generous support he has received from his friends and students in the US. It is not too late to send a donation to help support this large and meaningful endeavor. Checks can be made payable to Yeshe Khorlo and sent to Yeshe Khorlo, PO BOX 87, Crestone, CO 81131. Please note "dondrub" in the memo line of your check.
Sunday, August 1st thru Thursday, August 5th
The Yeshe Khorlo Sangha will be holding its own Dondrub at Choying Dzong in Crestone at the same time in support of Lopon’s Dondrub in Bhutan. We will each keep track of our individual accumulations, and send the group’s collective number to Bhutan to add to the total.
We invite all who wish to attend, both local Crestone residents and out of towners. There is a special blessing and power in doing accumulations together in the lhakang. The lhakang itself carries the blessings of our great teachers who have taught there, the blessings of the many people who have meditated and done retreat there, and the synergistic effect of practicing together (the whole is greater than the sum of its parts), supporting and amplifying the energy and focus. People are free to attend as much or as little as they are able; it is fine to come and go as you wish during the day. Even if you can only come for one day, or for one hour, come! There is great merit in attending and participating in even a small part of this accumulation at this auspicious time.
We also encourage those who can’t attend to accumulate as many Vajra Guru mantras as you can on your own during this time, and to send us the total number at the completion of the Dondrub on Thursday. The schedule for the Dondrub week is as follows:
Dondrub Schedule in the Lhakang at Choying Dzong:
Each day beginning Sunday, August 1st:
- 8:30am – Riwo Sangchod
- 9:00am - Tea
- 9:15am – Shower of Blessings and Vajra Guru Mantra Accumulations
- 12:00pm – Lunch Break
- 1:30pm – Resume Vajra Guru Mantra Accumulations
- 4:00pm – Tsog and Maning Protectors, and conclusion of Shower of Blessings.
- 5:00pm – Finish
There will be a small simple tsok Sunday through Wednesday, and a large tsok on Thursday, August 5th (Dakini day) at 6 PM to conclude our accumulations.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the Dondrub, and at the pot-luck and sangha meeting as well. We are interested in hearing everyone’s input, and welcome everyone to contribute their ideas and wishes.
