Traditional 3 Years Retreat in Bhutan

H. E. Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche has started a traditional 3 years retreat in Bhutan for his Western students. The retreat is conducted in the Pema Lingpa tradition, supervised by Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche and led by a Retreat Master from Gangtey Gompa Shedra. The duration of a traditional 3 years retreat is 3 years, 3 months and 3 days.
The first retreat for Western students began in November 2009 in the Trongsa area of Bhutan. There are 7 international students participating (4 women and 3 men):
- 1 from France
- 2 from Germany
- 2 from Switzerland
- 2 from Canada

Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche's aspiration is this first retreat will be followed by another retreat, and then another, in an uniterrupted way as the tradition requires.
